New mallowstreet research commissioned by Cardano, has revealed that an increasing majority of UK pension schemes and professional trustee (PT) firms are embracing Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) as a fundamental component of their business strategy.

CFOs of UK businesses remain unclear and unprepared for the potential impacts of environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks on their businesses, according to research from Cardano, the investment management and advisory business. This is despite the growing importance of ESG issues for companies of all sizes.

Biodiversity research study first launched in September 2022 now complete. Conservation areas and areas where palm oil is being produced showed notably different acoustic landscapes. Areas where palm oil is being produced were dominated by monotonous activity of only insects and no mammals were detected. Conservation and Control plots were populated by varying bird species, frogs and mammals.

DEI remains a low priority for many pension trustee boards when compared to other governance issues and in spite of recognition that greater DEI improves decision-making and better outcomes for pension savers.
